Sort by Date Time Rob & Max (the pilot) head out to the plane Max gets us ready to go I'm in front and Rob in back Lots more instruments and electronics than the first flight 40 years ago Our course is just about due south The plane had a bad plug so we came back and the mechanics fixed it up We head south but see the clouds on the horizon Over the flats watching for moose and bear Max in charge, he's been a bush pilot forever in Alaska As we get close to Wood River the ceiling drops and the cloud close in We tried from three different directions and could not find the runway This is when he called it and we turned around It was clear and gorgeous on the way back to town Lots to see across the valley But the clouds were settled in around the mountains So we flew back to Fairbanks Landing on the Fairbanks airport strip And off we go now four hours later There's something looking like a big squall we'll just fly right through We get over the river now and it's bright and clear The Denali 30 Percent ClubBear Spray and a Beer
